Free weekly 5Ks in both Leeds and Middlesbrough. Every Saturday morning at 0900, a free 5K takes place in Hyde Park, Leeds. There are more details at leeds.parkrun.com including a description of the course. And starting on 31st May there will be free 5K races every Saturday morning at 0900 in Albert Park, Middlesbrough.
